Salary: £30-£35k (depending on experience)
Holidays: 24 + 8 (bank holidays) increasing by one day each year of service.
Location: Ashington, Northumberland
Working Hours: Flexitime, one day a week work from home, 4:30 finish on a Friday.
Due to recent contract wins and continued growth we are looking for a Web Designer to join our digital team in Ashington. The role requires a creative and dynamic individual that is keen to learn and capable of working well on their own as well as within a team.

The Role
You will be actively involved in all stages of the design process and be responsible for transforming client requirements into final prototypes before being built in our CMS. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in creating beautiful, functional, accessible and responsive websites and have a strong design portfolio. Ideally the candidate will have excellent skills in front end technologies (html, css, javascript) etc...
Essentials
- At least 2 years experience in designing / developing responsive websites
- Excellent understanding of UX & design methodologies.
- Proficient in HTML / CSS / Javascript
- Ability to work independently, desire to learn and genuine interest in improving user experiences.
Desirable
- Experience in designing / developing within guidelines WCAG (AAA)
- Mobile app design experience
- Experience with CMS systems such as WordPress, Umbraco, Site Core, Epi Server, etc...
- Experience with designing for email marketing systems (Campaign Monitor, Mail Chimp, etc...)
