Salary: £25-£35k (depending on experience)
Holidays: 25 + 8 (bank holidays) increasing with service

Working Hours: Flexitime, one day a week work from home, 3pm finish on a Friday.
Due to recent contract wins and continued growth we are looking for a Web Designer to join our digital team in Ashington, Northumberland. The role requires a creative and dynamic individual that is keen to learn and capable of working well on their own as well as within a team.

The Role
You will be actively involved in all stages of the design process and be responsible for transforming client requirements into hand crafted gorgeousness. Ideally but not essential you will have the skills to develop those designs into working HTML prototypes before being handed to our developers to be built in our CMS. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in creating beautiful, functional, responsive and accessible websites and have a strong design portfolio. Ideally the candidate will have experience in front end technologies such as html, css, javascript etc...
Essentials
- At least 1 years experience in designing / developing responsive websites
- Excellent understanding of UX & design methodologies
- Proficient in Figma, Adobe Illustrator, or other design / ux tool of your choice
- Ability to work independently, desire to learn and genuine interest in improving user experiences.
Desirable
- Experience of working in an agency environment
- Proficient in HTML / CSS / Javascript
- Experience in designing / developing within guidelines WCAG (AAA)
- Experience with CMS systems such as WordPress, Umbraco, Site Core, Epi Server, etc...
- Experience with designing for email marketing systems (Campaign Monitor, Mail Chimp, etc...)
