Last week, we exhibited at the Chartered Institute of Housing North East’s annual regional conference and exhibition at Ramside Hall.
Since we’re a creative agency, we decided to do something a bit different this year and so created a competition around the theme of Movember.
Since its launch in 2004, there has been a huge uptake in the number of men taking part in Movember- a month where men are asked to grow moustaches to raise awareness and money for men’s health issues.
We thought it was only fair to get women in on the act too, so we bought a number of fake moustaches and donated £5 for every man and £10 for every woman who had their photo taken with a moustache on.
Each entrant got a free Krispy Kreme doughnut and was entered into a draw on our Facebook page to win a bottle of champagne.
Over the two days, we managed to raise a fantastic £330-with surprisingly more women taking part than men. Even well- known TV presenter Esther Rantzen got involved before her closing speech.
Thank you to everyone who took part, the money we’ve raised will make a big difference to those charities involved with Movember. For those who weren’t there, all of the photos can be found on our Facebook page.
