Junior Account Manager Amy has recently celebrated her fourth anniversary at The Works. Over the last few years, Amy has established herself as the office bookworm and on a lunchtime can usually be seen walking laps around the business park with her head in a book!

We caught up with Amy to find out some of her favourite things about being part of the team.

What has been your favourite project that you’ve worked on in the last year?

I think it would have to be supporting Disruptive Innovators Network (DIN) with their ‘If Homes Could Talk’ research project. DIN has been working in conjunction with partner organisations to delve into the role of smart homes technology in the social housing sector. From setting up the project landing page on DIN’s website to working with our creative team to develop all the individual project assets, I’ve really enjoyed getting to work on such a varied project, which could have a positive impact on the quality of social tenants’ lives once published (in autumn 2025).

Are there any standout moments for you since joining The Works?

I can’t believe I’ve been at The Works for four years. It has completely flown over and there have been so many standout moments for me – from the time now retired Director John accidentally ordered a sixteen foot Christmas tree to stand in the centre of the office to the first time I saw a client ad on the big screen outside The Stack at Seaburn.

What is your favourite thing about working here?

Whether it be making a brew, listening to someone rant about having to spend their weekend building IKEA furniture or lending a helping hand, we look out for each other. That is until it’s time to play ‘Guess This Week’s Spotify Throwback Thursday Playlist Theme’, then it’s every man, woman, and child for themselves!

Now time for the quickfire round…

Tea or coffee? Coffee

Print or digital? Print

Book or film? Book

Favourite TV show? Outlander
