Our Videographer Andy recently celebrated his fourth anniversary at The Works. Over the last 12-months, Andy has filmed at a range of locations, from local beaches to housing developments further afield. We caught up with him to find out what he’s enjoyed working on most in the last year.

You've travelled all over the UK on shoots for clients. Which has been your favourite place to film or photograph this year?

A lot of my trips tend to be me ‘passing by’ on the way to a business, but I’d have to say getting to see some of Cornwall at the start of the year was pretty cool, and I got to catch a sunset there on a little beach called Chapel Porth. There was also a really awesome sunrise at South Shields – I love the stuff I captured there.

What's your favourite piece of equipment in your kit?

At the minute it’s our new DJI Mavic 4 pro drone, but we have a few pieces of kit that are really cool, such as a motorised slider. We also have the car rig so that we can mount the camera onto the front of a car. We’re yet to film the next Mission Impossible; I’m holding out hope though!

Which has been your favourite project you've worked on in the last year?

I think our ongoing project with Untypical, visiting housing developments for Hopkins and Tilia Homes has been good. It’s a creative challenge to come up with ‘lifestyle’ shots without using models. I can see shoot by shoot where I’m improving and what I need to think about going into the next shoot.
