A few months ago, we had the honour of photographing the reopening of the iconic Herd Groyne Lighthouse in South Shields, on behalf of our client Port of Tyne.
The landmark, which is owned by Port of Tyne, had recently undergone and extensive restoration, which was made possible due to a generous donation of £100,000 from The Barbour Foundation. To celebrate the completion of the restoration works, there was a ribbon cutting ceremony in which Dame Margaret Barbour and Port of Tyne’s CEO, Matt Beeton cut the ribbon.
The Herd Groyne is synonymous with the Barbour brand, and Dame Margaret even brought along an old Barbour catalogue, which features the landmark in their original logo!
