In January, Alix celebrated his fourth anniversary at The Works. Alix started out as Digital Services Apprentice, and is now our fully-fledged Digital Services Executive, with a love of caffeinated drinks and videogames. We caught up with him to see how he’s found his time at The Works so far:

How have you found your time at The Works so far?

“I’ve loved my time at The Works for the four years I’ve been here so far. It feels like only yesterday I’d finished my apprenticeship; however, it’s now been 3 years since I started my current role. Over this time, I’ve had the chance to learn so much, develop new skills, and contribute to a bunch of different projects.”

What do you like about working here?

“The atmosphere of the office is great. I felt welcome from the moment I started here. I also love that there’s always something to learn. Each project comes with its own unique requirements and challenges, which keeps things fresh and interesting. It’s rewarding to see how each challenge helps me improve my skills.”

Are there any standout moments or projects for you?

“It’s so hard to choose a particular moment. To me, anything that requires me to figure out a new approach or learn new skills is always rewarding to me. The digital landscape is changing constantly and there always something new to learn especially with the current AI boom.”
