Creative, Sarah, recently celebrated her eighth anniversary at The Works!

From honing her animation skills to working on an award-winning campaign, Sarah has achieved a lot since joining our team. We caught up with her to see how she’s found her time with us so far:

How have you found your time at The Works so far?

“I knew I wanted to work here when I first saw The Works’ social media in 2017. It seemed like such a fun and creative place to be. This job has helped me grow from a shy, self-doubting individual into a more confident person. I really enjoy being part of a team where we all collaborate and share ideas freely.”

What do you like about working here?

“I thrive on the challenge of new projects, and I love that each day brings something different to create and work on. I also appreciate the constant opportunity for growth. When I first started, I was hesitant to use animation software, as university had put me off. But now, it’s actually my favourite thing to do. Therefore, one important lesson I’ve learnt is to never dismiss something and to keep pushing forward because one day you will succeed.”

Are there any standout moments or projects for you?

“During my eight years, there have been many standout moments. One of the most memorable was working on the Nexus Kids Go Free TV advert in 2024. It was a great project that involved a lot of team collaboration and the opportunity to develop new skills — skills I’m excited to apply in the future.”
