Our Assistant Videographer, Raephena, recently celebrated her second work-iversary with us. In the two years since joining The Works, Raephena has established herself as the office ‘Twilight’ fangirl and worked on projects for clients all over the North East.

We caught up with Raephena to see how she’s found the last two years:

How have you found your time at The Works so far?

“My time at The Works has been amazing so far! Everyone has been so welcoming and it’s really great to have such a supportive team. I’ve learned a lot in the past two years, and it’s been the perfect environment to develop my skills and try out new techniques - as well being able to work with some incredible equipment!”

What do you like about working here?

“I really enjoy having the opportunity to experience different types of workplaces and industries while shooting on location. Ranging from construction sites for new homes and hospitals, to schools, factories, and even underwater battery engineering - it’s so interesting to see how each sector operates and has been a great learning experience for me!”

Are there any standout moments or projects for you?

“We recently worked on the Kids Go Free campaign for Nexus, creating an advert to show in cinemas. Prior to joining The Works, I worked at Vue Cinema for four years, so was able to organise filming the advert at the Gateshead site. It felt so rewarding to bring together those two chapters of my career, blending the familiarity of my former workplace with the creativity of my current role.”
