Sunderland Business Improvement District (BID) was created in 2014 to revitalise and regenerate Sunderland city centre. We’ve worked with them for a number of years on lots of different projects and campaigns – from brand identity work to collateral for events.
Recently, we supported Sunderland BID with their campaign to launch a Seafront BID, which required local businesses to vote in favour in order to go ahead. The campaign began with a brand development project, which established how the Seafront BID would sit under the umbrella of the wider Sunderland BID brand. Next, we created graphics and a flyer, which Sunderland BID used to invite local businesses to attend a consultation meeting. In addition, we designed a vibrant Seafront BID business plan document, which incorporated illustrations and photography.
Sunderland BID’s campaign was successful, and the Seafront BID was launched.
Neave Meikle, Junior Account Manager, said: “The success of the BID has been recognised by everyone in the city centre and beyond, and coupled with the ambitious city regeneration project, has resulted in the creation of a Seafront BID to extend Sunderland BID’s reach and influence. The ballot result was a resounding yes and a great success. The introduction of a Seafront BID will create even more reasons for people to visit the local area, support the businesses and continue to link up the wider city.”
