In November, designer Gary celebrated a phenomenal 10 years at The Works. Gary is an integral part of the team (and so is his adorable dog Poppy!) so, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see how he’s found the last decade.

How have you found the last 10 years with us?

My time at The Works has gone by in a heartbeat. We work hard and we work quickly. That forces you to keep learning better ways to do things. What we do is always evolving and it’s a good place to learn – every day is a school day!

What do you like about working here?

The great crew. I started freelancing here before I joined full time, and it was the people and the atmosphere that welcomed me in and made it an easy transition – and I guess after ten years that must have been a good decision.

Are there any standout moments or projects for you?

The range of clients and disciplines means we get great experience across all sorts of projects, and I like the variety. Much better to have a broad sweep of styles and finished products, and I have been lucky enough to work on everything from digital ads and video to traditional print and POS for some great clients.
