Due to a number of recent contract wins we are looking for a web developer to work on a wide range of projects. The role requires a dynamic, positive, self driven individual that is keen to learn and capable of working well on their own as well as within a larger project team.

Ashington, Northumberland

The Role

Predominantly you will be developing bespoke functionality within the Umbraco CMS (www.umbraco.org) that we use for delivering dynamic and flexible websites to our clients. You will be involved in the full development lifecycle from requirements understanding through to testing and delivery.The work is varied and exciting and you will be working on new and existing client projects ranging large scale content managed websites through to virtual learning platforms and membership systems.

Essentials

  • C# ASP.NET, MVC, PHP
  • Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL
  • HTML / CSS
  • JavaScript (jQuery)
  • Experience with large scale CMS preferably Umbraco, Sitecore etc

Desirable

  • MVC 4 / 5
  • Experience with Umbraco CMS (umbraco.org)
  • Microsoft Entity Framework
  • HTML 5 / CSS 3
  • Experience in Agile Methodologies
  • Working knowledge of source control systems such as SVN / Git.

Web Designer

Due to recent contract wins and continued growth we are looking for a Web Designer to join our digital team in Ashington. The role requires a creative and dynamic individual that is keen to learn and capable of working well on their own as well as within a team. The role is predominantly design focussed and those without specific web development experience should apply if they have an interest in design for web.

Ashington, Northumberland

The Role

You will be actively involved in all stages of the design process and be responsible for transforming client requirements / wireframes in to final designs as well as feeding into the overall design process. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in creating beautiful functional designs for desktop and mobile and have a strong design portfolio developed during their studies. The role will provide a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in all areas of web design across the design process.

Essentials

  • Design portfolio possibly created during studies or work experience etc…
  • Good understanding of UX & design methodologies.
  • Proficient in Photoshop.
  • Ability to work independently, desire to learn and genuine interest in design.

Desirable

  • An understanding of web development (HTML / CSS / Javascript)
  • Experience with email marketing systems (Campaign Monitor, Mail Chimp, etc...)
