Northumberland Estates is a privately owned family business which represents the business interests of the Duke of Northumberland. Though probably best known nationaly and internationally for the use of its grounds / castle in the popular Harry Potter films the estates has a wide range of commercial businesses / interests in its portfolio.
Northumberland Estates approached The Works to deliver a subtle re-brand as well as develop a website to promote the commercial entities of the estates including advertising residential and commercial properties to rent and buy. We developed a fully responsive, fully content managed site to give control back to the estates. Using the Google Maps API we provided a flexible property system which also dynamically generates property particulars directly from the content on the site.
The website has been well received and we are continuing to work with the estates on new functionality.
The new Northumberland Estates website was just one part of a re-branding exercise. Northumberland Estates as a business is very complex with many diverse departments. Making sure all aspects were represented in a clear and concise way was as important as the look, which represented a serious challenge for the web design team. Together we spent many hours honing our ideas which Tim then had to make work. The entire process was approached by all of the team at The Works not only with enthusiasm and great skill, but also patience and endless good humour. Nothing was too much trouble, and they continue to provide an excellent backup service post launch. We are delighted with the result, and will be looking to utilise their skills on future projects.
